Biography
Gabriel Kapumpe is a Lecturer in Computer Science at ZCAS University and a cybersecurity and artificial intelligence specialist with extensive experience in teaching, research, national network nfrastructure, and ICT policy. He is a researcher in cybersecurity and holds a formal qualification in Cybersecurity and ICT Policy from a leading international institution, built on more than fifteen years at the operational core of large-scale telecommunications systems - experience that shapes how he teaches threat analysis, not as abstract theory but as a live diagnostic discipline.
His research focuses on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, computer networks, telecommunications infrastructure, data science and information systems, blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, and the broader challenge of securing digital transformation in emerging economies. Mr. Kapumpe has authored research published in academic outlets, examining the role of cybersecurity in safeguarding digital transformation in Zambia, the design and development of health information systems, and the use of technology-enhanced learning to sustain education during disruption. He also contributes to ICT policy and cybersecurity debates, drawing on his operational experience to inform how emerging economies build secure, resilient, and inclusive digital systems.
