OBJECTIVES
By the end of the programme, candidates should be able to:
demonstrate a thorough grounding in the fundamental theories, concepts, principles and practices of management;
demonstrate the critical abilities of analysis, interpretation, evaluation and judgement as applied to the management theory, taking into consideration the different cultural and global needs of the business environment;
evaluate and recommend strategies for addressing organisational challenges in the areas of marketing, supply chain, human resources and operations; and
undertake research to help in solving organisational challenges.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
To qualify for admission to the Master of Science in Business Leadership and Management Strategy degree programme an applicant must have any of the following qualifications:
Grade 12 certificate; and
a degree from a recognised institution; or
professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ZIM, ZICA, CIM, CILTS, CFA and CIPS; and
at least two years post qualification experience in a managerial or professional capacity.
DURATION OF STUDY
The programme of study for the award of the Master of Science in Business Leadership and Management Strategy qualification shall be completed in a period of not less than 18 months and not more than three academic years.
For the purpose of computing the maximum period of study where a person undertakes the study for the Master of Science in Business Leadership and Management Strategy qualification, partly as a part-time/evening/distance education and partly as a full-time student, three (3) courses successfully completed by the student shall count as one academic semester (one half year).
